Black Hat Supervisor
Location: Surroundings Birmingham International Station, Birmingham, UK
Position Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Black Hat Supervisor to join our team for an HS2 project in the Birmingham International Station area. This role requires a strong background in supervising topographical and utilities work, ideally with a background in HS2 projects, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and project specifications. This role involves managing onsite teams and delivering high-quality results.
Key responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate topographical and utility works at the Birmingham International Station area.
- Oversee onsite teams, providing guidance and support to ensure project timelines and quality standards are met.
- Conduct regular site inspections and risk assessments to maintain a safe working environment.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Relevant education in Surveying/Topography.
- CSCS Gold or Black Card.
- Valid SMTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) certification.
- PTS (Personal Track Safety) certification.
Experience:
- Proven experience in supervising topographical and utilities work.
- Demonstrated ability to manage teams effectively.
- Previous experience working at major infrastructure projects is a plus.
Skills:
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- In-depth knowledge of surveying techniques and utilities management.
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt to project requirements.
Surveying Works Coordinator
Location: Surroundings Birmingham International Station, Birmingham, UK
Position Overview:
We are looking for a skilled Surveying Works Coordinator to join our team. This role requires experience in coordinating surveying works, ideally with a background in HS2 projects, and involves collaboration with stakeholders and third-party buildings.
Key responsibilities:
- Coordinate and oversee surveying works, ensuring compliance with project specifications and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and manage relationships with third-party building representatives.
- Facilitate communication between teams and ensure all parties are informed of project progress and requirements.
- Conduct site inspections and assessments to ensure quality and accuracy in surveying activities.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Relevant education in Surveying or a related field.
- Valid CSCS certification.
- SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) certification is preferred.
Experience:
- Proven experience in coordinating surveying works, with a focus on HS2 projects.
- Experience working with stakeholders and managing third-party buildings.
Skills:
- Strong organisational and project management skills.

Land Assistant Surveyor
Geotechnical and instrumentation and monitoring specialized company is looking for a land surveyor assistant for a major civil works project in central London.
Key responsibilities:
Assist the land surveyors and instrumentation and monitoring engineers in the following tasks (This list is not intended to cover every task that the role may require):
- Taking readings of monitoring points on site.
- Installation of instrumentation devices.
- Taking care and maintenance of the surveying instruments.
Job Conditions
- Contract type: Permanent. (3 months probatory period)
- Normal working hours: Monday to Friday daily shift. Work in nightshift and Saturday, Sunday or Bank Holiday will be paid as overtime.
- Pension scheme: 6%.
- 24 days of holiday per year plus bank holidays.
- Location: Central London.
Requirements
- You must be living and authorized to work in the UK to apply for this position.
- CSCS card.
- Previous experience working on civil works projects will be preferred but not excluding.

Pay: From £25,000.00 per year
